From Galleri 21:
Helene Billgren was born in 1952 in Norrköping. She studied at Valand University of the Arts in Gothenburg. Billgren has exhibited at museums and galleries around Sweden. She made a public decoration at Karlstad University and a curtain at Folkets Hus Hammarkullen. She has had separate exhibitions at Färgfabriken in Stockholm and the Borås Museum.
In a body of work spanning an entire life, paths seldom follow predetermined straight lines. Over the years, explorative approaches generate parallel courses, temporarily changing direction, with whims creating gaps that become new spaces, new journeys. Knutman’s journey was ongoing until the very end, and attempting to fully grasp his pictorial idiom is like mapping the starry sky, where each point of light is a peephole into a universe of its own. Some points hold entire courses of events, whereas others present merely a hint.
We are proud to present an exhibition with drawings by Bruno Knutman (1930–2017). The exhibition In the Basement Studio brings together a large selection of the artists ink drawings executed between 1964 and 1990.
We are pleased to announce a presentation of new paintings by Susanne Johansson in the reception of the gallery. The suite of works, Signs of Time is on view until December 19.

Light is something that brightens up and illuminates the environment and thus makes other things visible - a fact that art can also achieve. The show brings together works of art that deal with the themes of illumination and glow and bring a promising light into the darkness of the season.
We show works among others by Albert Hien, Lars Teichmann, Ruth Campau, Axel Dick, Mette Björnberg, Tal R, Cornelia Schleime, Gerhard Richter and Doppeldenk.
