FACE AD is Tommy Hilding’s eight exhibition at the gallery. This time his view is pointed towards the city; the monotonous facades of the million-program*, the suburb’s impersonal industrial landscapes and the standardized blocks of home-crofts. The paintings are structured in many layers, like collages, where fragments from different sources have been attached to a whole. Some parts quiet, objective reproduced and others expressive, dramatically to the edge of disbandment. In some of the images Tommy Hilding puts the individual in opposition to the architecture.
The monotypes in OUT IN THE OPEN are part of a series of lakefront images that Amy Bennett has been developing over the past couple of years (first part exhibited in January 2009 at Richard Heller Gallery in Santa Monica, US). All works are created through a miniature model (1:87) built in her studio. With the monotypes she wanted to get closer the subject and describe more intimate encounters. The freshness and immediacy of the monotype encouraged her to work quickly, painting each image within two days, an extreme departure from her month-or-so-long process of creating a painting.
Galleri Magnus Karlsson is pleased to present Jens Fänge's second solo exhibition in the gallery.
Galleri Magnus Karlsson is pleased to present two parallel solo exhibitions. Susanne Simonson’s fifth and Anne-Marie Nordin’s second at the gallery.
Susanne Simonson exists in the boundary country between the figurative and the abstract. The new paintings are more expressive and spontaneous then before and carry distinct traces of their own process. She is combining a more powerful painting with the light transparent veils of colour. The scale of colour has been displaced and is heading towards the earth and nature.
Galleri Magnus Karlsson is pleased to present Roger Andersson’s fourth solo exhibition in the gallery.
Galleri Magnus Karlsson is pleased to present Niklas Eneblom fifth solo exhibition at the gallery.
Galleri Magnus Karlsson is pleased to introduce Peter Köhler’s first solo exhibition at the gallery.

Galleri Magnus Karlsson is pleased to present Jockum Nordström’s fifth solo exhibition at the gallery. It is the first major presentation in Sweden since the very popular ”A stick in the wood” at the Moderna Museet 2005
Galleri Magnus Karlsson is pleased to introduce Charlie Roberts’ first exhibition in Sweden. Charlie Roberts was born in Hutchinson, Kansas in 1983 but is now settled outside of Oslo, Norway.
The exhibition ”Freedom World Tour” shows off Roberts’ broad repertoire paintings, sculptures and film and is in many ways autobiographical. Freedom, the artist’s band, will perfom live during the opening night, and a music video made by Roberts is part of the exhibition. A series of fifty drawings make up a storyboard to a film that will be shoot during the band’s upcoming US tour.
