Anna Bjerger, Le Manoir, Banyuls-sur-Mer, Frankrike

This summer we will present the first exhibition at the gallery’s co-owned hotel Le Manoir in Banyuls-sur-Mer. This little gem is located in French Catalonia where the Pyrenees meet the Mediterranean Sea. Works by our gallery artists are shown in the public areas and bedrooms throughout the hotel. In a solo presentation, Anna Bjerger will be presenting new paintings and works on paper in the hotel dining room, library and bar. The exhibition is a way to further connect with the local audience and explore potential regional collaborations.

Bella Rune et al., Tensta konsthall, Stockholm, Sweden

In that way art will be presented in the most everyday situations: when one buy groceries, shopping for lunch or cutting one’s hair; therefore, providing a way to other forms of contact and exchange.

Nattstycke / Night Piece, Bruno Knutman, Galleri Magnus Karlsson

We are proud to present Bruno Knutman’s (1930–2017) second solo exhibition at the gallery: Night Piece. Bruno Knutman was working on this exhibition at the time of his passing in August 2017. Together with his wife Birgitta we decided to proceed with the exhibition according to his plan. Night Piece presents paintings from the last three years and is named after his last painting, which was completed only shortly before his passing. In connection with the exhibition we will publish a book with all the new paintings and a text by art critic and writer Dan Jönsson.

Jeff Olsson, Nevven Gallery, Gothenburg, Sweden

From press release:

“Jag känner en utsatthet när jag vistas i naturen.
Naturen skrämmer mig och jag bearbetar rädslor när jag tecknar”
Jeff Olsson

There is something out of place in Jeff Olsson’s art. His delicate charcoal drawings are magnificent and magnetic, yet never reassuring nor at peace. They depict a world which is dark and tense when quiet, and humorous, grotesque and violent when action takes place. It is a realm where lonely raving lunatics ride vast plains and solitary wild animals haunt the dark wilderness.
