Marcel Dzama, Galleri Magnus Karlsson

We have the pleasure to present Marcel Dzama’s fifth solo exhibition at the gallery. Revolution Blues will comprise of new works on paper, sculptures, collages and film.

Drawing is the foundation of Dzama’s artistry. He got his breakthrough as a young artist with his distinctive colored drawings in saturated shades, self-made fables and a surreal drama and black humor. An image world that could be taken from a fictitious United States, influenced by early superhero comics, science fiction and early Hollywood.

Mamma Andersson, Stephen Friedman Gallery, London, UK

Mamma Andersson’s fifth exhibition at Stephen Friedman Gallery will focus on a new series of unique woodcut prints. This will be the artist’s first solo presentation dedicated to this technique and marks an exciting development in her practice. These prints are emotive scenes and portraits of “...characters who will not be pinned down: fleet of foot, they move swiftly across centuries, indifferent to mortality and geography” (Jennifer Higgie, 2017).

Sara-Vide Ericson, Örebro Konsthall, Sweden
