A major figure on the Swedish art scene, Jockum Nordström has devoted over thirty years to his mischievous mix of worlds quotidian and oneiric, human and animal, abstract and naive, natural and architectural. At La Criée Centre for Contemporary Art he’s presenting a selection of recent works: collages, drawings and cardboard sculptures.

Carl Hammoud, Sten A Olsson’s Culture Scholarships 2020, Sweden

Carl Hammoud is one of the recipients of this year’s award from Sten A Olsson’s Foundation for research and culture.

An exhibition will be held at Göteborgs Konstmuseum. The exhibition is currently postponed due to the current situation.

Ståhl Collection is a private initiative where art collector Mikael Ståhl presents his extraordinary collection of contemporary art, which he has collected since the early 1980s. Totalling some 400 works, the collection consists mainly of paintings and sculptures from the late 1950s to today.

A Year of Making Meaning: New Additions to the Collection 2020 highlights some of the numerous works collected by FWMoA in the last two years. A main component of our mission is to not only collect fine works of art, but to put them on regular display for the community. Like many museums, we are unable to display the entirety of our collection at once, but this exhibition is one of the ways we can showcase some of our newest, brightest stars.

The exhibition The Eyes of Others by Idun Baltzersen opens without a reception on Saturday and Sunday November 14 & 15, and runs through December 19. The gallery is currently open regular hours.
