Monsieur Hulot

Hulot bor i ett högt smalt hus som är hopbyggt med två andra smala hus.
Han bor högst upp i det vänstra huset.
När han kommer hem går han in det högra huset.
Han går högst upp och kommer ut på en trappa som leder ner till en balkong på mittenhuset. Där går han in och försvinner en liten stund.
Plötsligt dyker han upp på en balkong längst upp till vänster där han bor.
Han går in och hänger av sig rocken. Hatten pipan och paraplyet lägger han på bordet.
Han öppnar fönstret som då reflekterar solen och lyser upp en fågelbur som sitter på väggen till det högra huset.
En gul kanariefågel blir glad och börjar sjunga.

Monsieur Hulot

Hulot lives in a high narrow house built together with two other narrow houses.
He lives at the top of the left house.
When he gets home, he enters the right house.
He goes to the top and comes out on a staircase that leads down to a balcony in the middle of the house. There he enters and disappears for a while.
Suddenly he appears on a balcony at the top left where he lives.
He goes in and hangs up his coat. He puts the pipe and the umbrella on the table.
He opens the window which then reflects the sun and lights from a birdcage that sits on the wall to the right house.
A yellow canary gets happy and starts singing.
