Roger Andersson | The Last Day

Galleri Magnus Karlsson is pleased to present Roger Andersson’s fourth solo exhibition in the gallery. 

The exhibition The Last Day will show a new serie of sculptures. Portraits of people living in disharmony with community (or "untuned" as phrased by the artist). The sculptures are made of wood that has been recycled from the garbage dump of society (from old pianos, furnitures etc). The characters are presented as lonely silhouettes isolated from their surroundings at the end of the world. The Last Day is also the title of a video where Roger developed the theme from his ink drawings into moving pictures.

Galleri Magnus Karlsson har glädjen att presentera Roger Anderssons fjärde separatutställning på galleriet. 

I utställningen The Last Day visas en ny serie skulpturer. Porträtt av människor som lever i dissonans med samhället (eller “Untuned” som konstnären uttrycker det). Skulpturerna är utförda i trä som återvunnits från samhällets soptipp (ur gamla pianon, möbler etc). Personerna presenteras som ensamma siluetter isolerade från sin omgivning vid världens ände.
The Last Day är också titeln på en video där Roger Andersson utvecklat temat från sina tuschteckningar i rörliga bilder.
