We are pleased to present Petra Lindholm’s eighth exhibition at the gallery. For the exhibition Stream, she has worked simultaneously with textile images, video and sound. A six meter panoramic landscape – her largest textile work up to date – together with a suite of assemblages and a new video with a theme and sound that links it all together, form the new exhibition. Petra Lindholm (b. 1973 in Karis, Finland) lives and works outside Älmhult in Småland, Sweden. She studied at The Royal Institute of Art in Stockholm, Sweden (1996–2001) and has exhibited at galleries and museums in Sweden, Finland, Germany, Italy and USA. She is represented in the collections of Moderna Museet, Stockholm, Sweden, Malmö Konstmuseum, Sweden, Borås Konstmuseum, Sweden, Västerås Konstmuseum, Sweden, EMMA, Esbo, Finland, ProArtibus, Finland and Kiasma, Helsinki, Finland. In 2001 she received the Maria Bonnier Dahlins scholarship, in 2006 she was awarded third prize at Carnegie Art Award and in 2018 she received Axel Theodor Sandsberg’s prize from the Royal Academy of Fine Arts in Stockholm. During the last years she has finished a number of public commissions where she works with site specific installations and sculpture

Vi har glädjen att presentera Petra Lindholms åttonde separatutställning på galleriet. Till utställningen Stream har Lindholm arbetat parallellt med textila bilder, video och ljud. Bland annat visas hennes hittills största textila arbete – ett sex meter långt landskap – samt en svit mindre bilder som tematiskt knyter an till ett nytt videoverk. Petra Lindholm (f. 1973 i Karis, Finland) bor och arbetar utanför Älmhult i Småland. Hon studerade vid Kungliga Konsthögskolan i Stockholm (1996–2001) och har bl.a. haft separatutställningar på gallerier och institutioner i Sverige, Finland, Tyskland, Italien och USA. Hon är bl.a. representerad i samlingarna på Moderna Museet, Stockholm, Malmö Konstmuseum, Borås Konstmuseum, Västerås Konstmuseum, EMMA, Esbo, Finland, ProArtibus, Finland och Kiasma, Helsingfors, Finland. 2001 erhöll hon Maria Bonnier Dahlins stipendium, 2006 tilldelades hon Carnegie Art Awards tredje pris och 2018 fick hon Axel Theodor Sandsbergs pris från Konstakademien. Under senare år har hon även utfört ett antal större offentliga gestaltningsuppdrag där hon arbetat rumsligt med skulptur och installation.
