From press release:
The art platform Black Iris has its second extensive exhibition, EXPLOSIVE VISION - Black Iris at Gasverket, this May during Stockholm art week in collaboration with Castellum, ISH, Samsung, ArtMove, Part Projects, and Henrik Kanekrans.
This time we're taking it from the toes and showing several giant works and installations by Yngvild Saeter, Gunilla Klingberg, Stefan Otto, Anna Camner, Johan Thurfjell, Matthias van Arkel, Maria Nordin, Anneè Olofsson, Juan Pedro Fabra Guemberena, Ulrika Sparre, Marcus Mårtenson, Julia Peirone, and Éva Mag.
The place is the old Gasverket on Torsgatan where all Stockholmers collected their gas tokens once upon a time. Castellum lends the premises. Explosive Vision is a play with Black Iris's wide-open pupil meeting the worn gas housing in an explosion of new expressions. Contemporary art looks forward and creates a dynamic energy in dialogue with the spectacular venue, designed by Ferdinand Boberg, where time has stood still.
Torsgatan 22. Open Fridays and Saturdays from 12-4 pm until June 3rd, and by appointment. Vernissage 10th May at 6-8 pm.
