Landscapes, darkness and transmutation. Swedish artist Sara-Vide Ericson (b.1983) is one of the foremost Nordic renewers of landscape painting. Ericson’s large figurative oil paintings draw on her immediate environment in Hälsingland in northern Sweden. With SUBTERRANEAN HUNGER, her largest solo exhibition to date, Ericson presents a new series of works, created as winter was loosening its grip on the forest around her home.
