From press release:
The collection of The Nordic Watercolour Museum is dynamic and independent. 129 artists are currently represented in the collection, which grows richer every year with new acquisitions and donations. This exhibition features works acquired over the past five years. As a whole, the collection reflects general tendencies in contemporary art but also art that stands apart in some way. All the works are of equal historic value as a mirror of the times. Both famous and less famous artists are represented. The Museum collection is simply a visual adventure. The common denominator is watercolour techniques. Tradition goes hand in hand with experiment, and singularity is more important than similarity.
Participating artists: Gunilla Bergström, Andreas Eriksson, Mats Gustafson, Arne Isacsson, Bernd Koberling, Leiko Ikemura, Lars Lerin, Maria Nordin, Jockum Nordström, Martha Ossowska Persson, Adam Saks, Astrid Svangren, Fredrik Söderberg, Katja Tukiainen och Knutte Wester.
