In Frames

Galleri Magnus Karlsson is pleased to present the exhibition IN FRAMES with new works by the artists; Niklas Eneblom, Maria Nordin and Ulf Lundin.
The title can allude to framed paintings at an exhibition, but rather highlights the artists' relationship to film, working practices and regulations.

New works

We are proud to present an exhibition with three new larger works by Jeff Olsson. The stories spring to us from the wilderness, where dream and reality is as close as inseparable brothers and sisters, where the present seems to collide with the past and destruction with bloom. Drawings in charcoal and graphite in which the meeting with the grand nature contains the most detailed stories.

Liar

Galleri Magnus Karlsson is proud to present Sara-Vide Ericson's first solo exhibition in the gallery. In February we showed her paintings from the series "Ride" at the Market Art Fair and a small presentation of drawings in the gallery. Now she returns with a major exhibition titled "Liar" in all three rooms of the gallery.

Today is Yesterday Tomorrow

In the autumn of 2010 Galleri Magnus Karlsson celebrates its first 20 years with the exhibition “Today is Yesterday Tomorrow”. Since the inception the gallery has presented Swedish contemporary art in Sweden as well as internationally. After the initial years in Västerås (1990-1997) the gallery started its business at Riddargatan 29 in Stockholm (1997-2005). In the autumn of 2005 the gallery moved to its present location at the ground floor of the Royal Swedish Academy of Fine Arts, Fredsgatan 12, in the centre of Stockholm.

Care

Galleri Magnus Karlsson is proud to present the first solo exhibition by Hans Lannér in the gallery.

Hans Lannér works with images from various origins – moments from journeys, everyday life compositions, abstract thoughts and fading memories. He works in a dissolved but yet precise manner, where each smear of colour is both body and content. Where the motif is both simple and inscrutable.

New works

Johanna Karlsson has in her drawings and sculptures examined nature from a nearly microscopically low angle. The works richness of detail and careful execution give the simple motives – roots, branches of trees and other vegitation – new meaning.
